You're right beside Orford's 12th-century castle keep, near the centre of town, and a short walk from the Quayside. Seek out delicious food at Butley Oysterage, Pinneys Smokehouse and Pump Street Bakery.
Woodbridge, Aldeburgh and Minsmere RSPB reserves are within easy distance.
By car: less than 3 hours from London, 4 hours 30 minutes from Manchester and 4 hours from Bristol. Free parking available.By train: from London Liverpool Street (1 hour 10 minutes), Cambridge (1 hour 20 minutes) and Norwich (2 hours) to Saxmundham or Woodbridge, via Ipswich. Both stations are a 20-minute taxi drive from the hotel. Book trains.
