The Marquis de Sers commissioned this building in 1880 and you'll find his portrait amongst others as you arrive at the hotel. There's an air of finery, exemplified through the grand, red-carpeted staircase with a Baccarat crystal chandelier. Spacious lounges feature orchids.

Dining options include the outdoor terrace, lounge bar and the restaurant - all can be found on the ground floor. The lunch and dinner menus are refreshingly simple. We loved the foie gras with poached pear and toasted brioche followed by confit duck and mashed potato, washed down with a glass of red Burgundy.
