Location

The hotel is in the south city on a lovely tree-lined street. It's a a 20-minute walk to St Stephen's Green and 30-minute walk into the city centre.

The location is convenient for those visiting the Aviva Stadium and RDS Ballsbridge.

By plane: Manchester, Birmingham or London to Dublin takes around an hour, after which, it's a 25-minute drive to the hotel. Paid on-site parking available. Book flights to Dublin.

Style

Dating back to Victorian times, the hotel used to be a nurses' home and it retains beautiful features like its redbrick façade. There's a real luxurious feel, and you'll find quirky and individual design elements throughout the hotel.

Rooms are split between the old part of the house (with original features) and a more modern extension to the rear. Rooms are luxurious and cosy, with Italian marble bathrooms and nice touches like underfloor heating and heated towel rails.

Guests can also drink in the Ruby Room. The pan-fried sea bass with celeriac and carrot rosti, salsify crisps and bisque purée was delicious.

Dylan Bar: open 12-10:30pm.
