The hotel is in a green and tranquil world of its own - drive through the Farncombe Estate to reach it. The gorgeous Cotswolds village of Broadway, with cafés and antique shops, is about half an hour's walk.
The nearest station is at Moreton-in-Marsh, while Stratford upon Avon is 15 miles north, and Cheltenham is 20 miles south west.
By car: 2 hour 30 minutes from London, over an hour from Oxford, and 1 hour 20 minutes from Bristol. Free on-site parking available.
By train: London Paddington to Moreton-in-Marsh takes 1 hour 30 minutes, after which a taxi takes 20 minutes. Book trains to Moreton-in-Marsh.

The Fish feels like a small village with its various buildings including an old coach house, farmhouse and shepherds huts. The décor is Scandi-chic (reflecting the Danish roots of the owners) with an emphasis on wood and soothing colours. The Lodge is at the heart of the hotel and this relaxing hub features a restaurant, bar, lounges and more.

The staff warmly and efficiently sustain The Fish's laid-back atmosphere. There's a private dining area for groups. There are wellies and maps to borrow from a dedicated boot room. The Lodge has a well-equipped games room with a pool table and more. In addition, there's a small cinema seating 14.

Restaurants & Bars
The Hook Restaurant has an appropriate emphasis on fish, although it serves steaks and a dedicated vegetarian menu. The roast cod with smoked sausage was a top combination. There's also a short-eat taco menu at the bar, and barbecue feasts can be organised for groups.
Hook: luxurious seafood restaurant, British produce. Open Sat-Sun for lunch and daily for dinner.
