The breakfast room, with its floor-to-ceiling windows, offers a great venue for weddings. A sunlit conservatory at the entrance of this Georgian structure floods the space with natural light, while vibrant plantings adorn the exterior. Restaurants & Bars
While the restaurant may lack some atmosphere (in contrast to the brighter breakfast room with garden views), the 1820 Grill and Brasserie impresses with excellent cuisine. Renowned for hand-cut steaks, they also deliver flawlessly cooked herb-crumb hake fillet with crab bisque. The 1820 potato hash with portobello mushrooms, spinach, chilli oil and sunny-side up free-range eggs was a great start to the day.
1820 Grill and Brasserie: classic dining, local steaks, afternoon teas. Open daily for lunch and dinner. Mains from £14. Breakfast is served in the bright and airy Forest Room.
