Hotel Review
Hilton, Glasgow, Scotland
What this exceedingly corporate hotel lacks in personality it makes up for with gleaming, newly-refurbished beds and bathrooms, a health club with a pool, sauna and fitness room and a family-friendly restaurant.

MORE INFORMATION
Location
We loved standing at the bedroom window, watching the weather roll off the Campsie Fells where the Highlands begin. Located in the financial district, it's a short walk to the shops and restaurants in the city centre. By plane: flights from London to Glasgow take 1 hour 15 minutes. The hotel is a 15-minute drive. Parking costs £15 per day. skyscanner.com By train: 4 hours 30 minutes from London and 3 hours from Manchester. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from Glasgow Central station. thetrainline.com
Style
The enormous central atrium feels a bit like a smart airport, as do the neutral colours and vast areas of industrial carpet. However it's certainly more relaxed, with no one hurrying anywhere.
