Location
Explore the streets surrounding the hotel and you'll find plenty of restaurants, high-end shops and bars. The Royal Exchange Theatre is just around the corner. Victoria pub, Sam's Chop House, is well worth visiting for the atmosphere.
You're in a good central location with decent transport links nearby, including St Peter's Square Metrolink station and Manchester Piccadilly station.
By car: around 2 hours from Nottingham and over 4 hours from London. Paid parking available nearby.
By train: London Euston to Manchester Piccadilly takes around 2 hours, after which, it's a five-minute taxi (or 15-minute walk) to the hotel. Book trains to Manchester.
Style
This is an Art Deco building, inside and out. Original features have been retained and are complemented by geometric patterns and 1920s black and white pictures. There is the feel of glitz and glamour, with lashings of gold and even a gold-tiled private members' club. The hotel also has fun, theatrical touches.

Staff are friendly and eager to ensure you have a fantastic stay - from the bellboys who greet you at the door, to the managers who are smartly dressed in pin-stripe suits with pink braces. While there's no spa or gym, you'll easily unwind and indulge here.

Rooms and suites are monochrome, with chevron patterned carpets and black studded leather headboards. Marble bathrooms have monsoon showers. We loved the thoughtful extras, such as homemade biscuits and a mobile phone to use for the duration of your stay.
