Over the road you'll find the canalside Castlefield area - home to a Roman fort as well as bars and restaurants. A short walk away is the Science and Industry Museum. Head to Dukes 92 to eat and drink.

The hotel is on a busy main road in the city centre. Deansgate-Castlefield Metrolink station is next door and Deansgate station is a couple of minutes' walk away.

By car: around 2 hours from Nottingham and over 4 hours from London. Paid parking available nearby.

By train: London Euston to Manchester Piccadilly takes around 2 hours, after which, it's a 10-minute taxi to the hotel. Book trains to Manchester.
