Style
Once a coaching inn, for over 400 years it has been the central hub and meeting place in this Georgian shopping town. There's a snug front bar that has a large open fire, exposed brickwork and heavy wooden beams. Beyond this is a warren of dining areas, including a newer garden room conservatory and restful, modern rooms.

For what is essentially a village inn, there's an impressive array of facilities, including a residents' gym and a small spa. Staff are assured and well-trained, with an efficient reception and competent dining team.

Restaurants & Bars
Specialising in Modern British cooking, in the morning there's a breakfast buffet alongside cooked options, whilst lunchtime choices include burgers, battered haddock and Binham Blue quiche. The dinner menu ups the ante with Norfolk lamb rump, 28-day dry-aged steaks and pan-fried sea bass. We loved the afternoon tea (a three-tiered cake stand of sandwiches, cakes and scones), served in the lounge with its leather sofas.
The Hoste Arms: Norfolk produce, seasonal specials, seafood, bar snacks, vegan menu. Local beers and fine wines. Mains from £13. Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
