All rooms are a decent size, with the bathrooms featuring a shower only; there are several accessible rooms. Monochrome décor is livened up by splashes of colour. Choose a room on a higher floor for a fantastic view of the city - you could see St James' Park or the Gothic lantern tower of the cathedral.

The Grainger Bar & Restaurant is a laidback spot, and is named after the nearby district of the same name. At breakfast, there's a buffet and dishes cooked to order, while in the evening the menu focuses on hearty dishes and classics done well. It's worth saving room for one of the indulgent desserts, or at least a cocktail in the comfortable bar area.
