OUR REVIEW
Location
The Montcalm Royal London House is close to 'Silicon Roundabout', whilst the Barbican Centre and Brick Lane are just a short stroll away. St. Paul's Cathedral and the Museum of London are within easy reach, the Tower of London and Tower Bridge a little further south (but still walkable within half an hour).
The hotel lies a mere 10-minute walk from three well-connected stations, with the main one being Liverpool Street.
By car: around 4 hours from Manchester, 2 hours 30 minutes from Birmingham and 7 hours from Glasgow. Paid parking available nearby.
By train: Liverpool Street station is 5 minutes' walk away. Kings Cross and Euston stations are around 15 minutes away in a taxi. Book trains to London.
Style
The hotel uses an eclectic blend of styles such as Art Deco and mid-century modern, with the use of cutting-edge technology and contemporary design. Contrasts also include the vivacity of the bars and restaurants, in comparison to guest floors, where low-level lighting casts a subtly atmospheric glow across the eerily dark silk-lined corridors.
Service & Facilites
This is a luxury establishment that caters for well-heeled corporate and privately wealthy clients. Everything you'd expect from a five-star hotel is available here, as well as some added extras like private butler available on request.
