MORE INFORMATION
Location
The hotel is perched on the volcanic cliffs outside the village of Imerovigli, in the highest part of the island. Spectacular views over the Aegean and caldera are guaranteed.
The hotel is quite isolated, which means a reliance on taxis (if you've not hired a car), which don't come cheap.
By plane: London or Manchester to Thira takes around 4 hours, after which, a taxi takes 15 minutes. Free on-site parking available. Book flights to Thira.
Style
Buildings have a very Greek feel from the exterior, but inside boast Japanese touches . As with other Nobu hotels, the ambience is supremely relaxed. There are just 25 rooms and suites and while they are pretty close together, there's not the feeling of being overcrowded.
Service & Facilities
The staff-to-guest ratio is high, and as a result service is efficient. Facilities include two pools, a bar and restaurant and well-equipped gym. There's also a terraced breakfast area.

Restaurants & Bars
Nobu is world-famous for its impeccable fusion of Peruvian and Japanese cuisine and this open-air restaurant proves to be a memorable experience - particularly dinner while the sun sets. We recommend the six-course tasting menu. The rock shrimp tempura with creamy spicy sauce was sublime, and we'd never tasted fish like the black cod miso, packed with exotic flavours.
Nobu: iconic restaurant, Peruvian-Japanese fusion cuisine. Classic dishes include Black Cod Den Miso and Yellowtail Jalapeño. All-day dining, open daily.
