Style

There's a new and almost clinical feel about the hotel, as the décor is generally white. However, there are pops of colour including the yellow sofa in the lobby, bright orange chairs by the lifts and vibrant artworks.

Service & Facilities

Facilities include a tranquil courtyard at the back of the hotel and a new rooftop reastaurant/bar specialising in Mexican cuisine and cocktails - with space for live music and events. There's no gym, but the hotel partners up with nearby Chalk Gym and guests can purchase a discount day pass for $25. Service on the whole is friendly and efficient.

Restaurants & Bars

Mexican rooftop bar and restaurant El Nico offers great views of the Brooklyn and Manhattan skylines. An imaginative menu from Chef Fer Serrano builds on her family's favourite recipes, while Leo Robitschek's creative cocktails contain seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. When we stayed, El Nico hadn't opened, but we loved the free coffee between 8-10am in the lobby with breakfast pastries.

El Nico: rooftop restaurant and bar, creative Mexican cuisine. Small plates and large plates, complemented by cocktails. Open for brunch and dinner.
