Location
Nestled within a tranquil North Norfolk country estate, there's a great choice of good pubs and restaurants nearby, such as the Duck Inn at Stanhoe, the White Horse at Brancaster Staithe, the Hero at Burnham Overy and the Socius and the Hoste Arms at Burnham Market.
Accessed down a long track, it can feel a little remote but Burnham Market with its independent shops and the dunes and beaches of Titchwell, Thornham and Brancaster are a short drive away.
By car: the journey takes 1 hour from Norfolk, 3 hours from London and 4 hours 30 minutes from Manchester. There is free parking on site.
Style
Housed in a sleek Georgian manor house, there's a lovely sitting room with leather and velvet chairs, a pale blue sofa, artworks by local artists and a nice selection of books on Norfolk and interior design and style. There's a further room for lounging, a dining room and the restaurant also found on the ground floor.
Service & Facilities
The welcome, unobtrusive service is friendly and efficient, though the check-in and check-out emails are a touch zealous. The sitting room and lounge areas have a great selection of books to browse and are lovely spaces to unwind in. There's a considerable lawn, ideal for boisterous kids and things like picnics and hot soups can be provided for the beach. Outside, there are Tesla and electric car charging points.

Room four is decorated in a restful, pale green and features a huge comfortable bed and pretty views onto rolling countryside. The little extras, like the selection of interesting books, classy furniture such as an antique mirror and comfortable blue velvet armchairs make your stay special. Dogs can stay for £20 and are permitted on the ground floor and dog treats are available.

Restaurants & Bars
Menus have a clear French influence and change regularly, but typically include dishes such as slow-braised bavette of beef, local Staithe smokehouse salmon and confit duck rillette. A lot of care has been put into the wine list, with a wide and interesting range for all budgets. In the mornings, the breakfast room is light and bright, with a terrace for warmer days and big windows letting the light flood in.
